Our favorite charity, Tiyeni, has trained over 30,000 smallholders, increasing their yields by over 150% in year 1, and making them 12 times more profitable by year 5, using regenerative practices with their Deep Bed Farming method. This is a low-tech system which is extremely effective in sub-tropical climates. Tiyeni farmers are being lifted out of food poverty, enabling them to feed their families an additional meal each day. Tiyeni is a phenomenal, little-known charity, doing such great work. Join this webinar to learn how Tiyeni’s method works, not only to support people in need, but also to restore the landscape at very large scale. Tiyeni’s method is now being implemented in several large river catchment areas of Malawi and pilot studies are being carried out with a view to spread this method across several countries that are within the Zambezi River catchment with the aim of reversing the effects of poor land husbandry and restoring the productivity of large areas of southern African countries. We will conclude this series with an opportunity to meet some of the students and graduates of the Soil Food Web School who truly inspire us with their enthusiasm and the great work they are doing in their communities.
